*Warning*

While we believe that this driver should work fairly well, it should be considered experimental quality.
It fixes some small problems, but it might also create some new ones.
This driver is for x86 BeOS R3.1 and R3.2. Trying to use it with other versions might have some unwanted side effects.

WARNING : You will not need this driver if you're not developing 16bpp BWindowScreen applications.
DON'T INSTALL IT IF YOU DON'T NEED IT.

What's new?

BWindowScreen::SetFrameBuffer now properly works in 16bpp.

How to install it?

Copy the "virge" file in your app_server add-ons folder (typically /boot/home/config/add-ons/app_server/). You can also drop it on the "Drop_it_here" link. You'll need to reboot to use the new driver.
Do not install it in the /boot/beos/ folder.

How to remove it?

Simply remove the "virge" file from your app_server add-ons folder and reboot.

My machine won't boot with the new driver. What can I do?

Reboot, hold "space" during the BeOS boot sequence to get the boot menu and select "Safe Mode VGA". You'll get a minimal 16 color VGA driver, which will allow you to remove the new driver.
